A good book in my hand and a cup of tea, just few of the things I like to do on a rainy day
Sharing some of my roses: Full Sail and Mr Lincoln
Ready for roasting-potatoes, carrots, beetroot smothered in lemon squeeze, olive oil and thyme. Perfect accompaniment for my roasted chook
And voila! Perfectly baked veggies!
Watching the rain from our Verandah-
Or simply chilling on a sofa
Contemplating what to do next....learn to crochet perhaps??
Or
Marvel at what three days of rain can do.
A bounteous veggie patch brings happiness and a great reward to those who are deserving
Our sleepy pond is overflowing to the rim. Watch out for the little boy whose tackle is lost in the stream.
Hi Aida,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bounty you have gathered from your garden, such wonderful colours! Your veggie bake and roasted chicken look absolutely scrumptious! I agree with you; rainy weather calls for a good book and soothing cup of something hot and delicious. I would also choose to have something baking in the oven, to warm up the house, instead of clean, besides better to clean when the sun is shining as it just makes everything look so much brighter!
Your roses are very pretty, indeed and, as always, your veranda is my favourite place to sit and watch Mother Nature do her thing!
Have a lovely week, my friend!

It must be a relief for the soil having rain after such a long time. Your flowers flourish and your vegetables look fresh and in the meantime you have made a delicious dinner and are sitting comfortably inside or on your verandah with a cup of tea and a lovely book. Enjoy your life!
ReplyDeleteHooray and Hallelujah for RAIN!! What a relief, dear Aida! And your bounty is spectacular....I can almost smell those delicious aromas coming from your oven....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,dear friend!
Blessings,
- Irina
We had rain on Wednesday - all through the night. The sound was wonderful. Everyone was out talking about the rain on the beach yesterday. The consensus was no one could remember the last time it rained - we think last February.
ReplyDeleteBoy I had a lovely visit.. Love the tea cup and book..looks interesting... and well I love the sound of the rain as well and clean air.. amazing looking veggies.. wish mine had came out so lovely this year.. but I'm thinking it needs some new soil or something.. I just planted a patch of red chard and the snails came by and sipped off the tops... forgot to put the copper around them.. silly snails.. Everything of yours looks devine including the roasted things.. Have a great new week with love Janice
ReplyDeleteAida,
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the tea, book, and red rose is my favorite picture of all. They all speak to my heart. The roasted vegetables and chicken look simply delicious. I usually steam my veggies, but I think I will try to roast them for a change. Your roses are just beautiful. It looks like you are doing some special things on a rainy day.
Happy Thanksgiving, dear Aida. Enjoy your turkey!
Love,
~Sheri
Aida,
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to see your roses again. They are so beautiful.
I hope you are enjoying the Christmas season. I love coffee, but I also love tea as well. In fact, I'm sipping on green tea right now while reading your lovely blog.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by, dear Aida! I am enjoying your gorgeous garden bounty again as I watch our snow falling and falling... :)
Have a beautiful day!

Hope you are well and enjoying your garden. It is winter here in Colorado/USA so I can't imagine a garden now. We still have a little snow and more to come! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to pop in and wish you a Merry Christmas, dear Aida! Hope all is well...
ReplyDeleteLove and blessings,

Aida,
ReplyDeleteI babysit a little girl named Aida, so right away I had to come visit you! Love your veggie patch. Makes me long for ours. It has been so
cold here in the Midwest. I am trying raised beds this year. Our soil has never been that great. I can't wait to see how well it works. Your roses are beautiful too. Thanks for stopping by. I will follow you.
Hugs,
Sherry
