Tea for two

The rain has been on and off for the last two weeks or so. We are only in the second month of winter; it gets a little sharp in the morning and mild during the day. The rain brought some freshness to the air, though it's dark and gloomy. Our veggie garden is looking rather drenched and droopy, too much moisture seemingly making them dreary. The roses struggle to keep upright, their buds soaked and weary, desperately awaiting sunshine to come their way. Rain, rain, you are lovely; your overwhelming generosity caused the bulbs and seeds to come out of their dormancy, but please, please if you can give Mr Sun a chance to sprinkle its rays!

Probably, like many of you, I'm also a trigger-happy kind of person. I take photos of almost anything and everything. Since there's not much happening in our garden at the moment, I'm mainly staying indoors to keep warm and spending some QT with my dear sweet hubby and savour a cup or two. Looking back down memory lane of our summer and spring garden, I thought I might share some archived photos to brighten this not so promising weather here down under (at least in Sydney)!

Hope you are all having a good week.

  5. Lovely garden memories here - the roses are gorgeous! Very pretty tea set - perfect for a rainy day! We had rain for weeks and very cool, and now in the 90's. I haven't adjusted to the heat yet! My flowers are very thirsty. Thank you for the sweet visit - I am now a new follower of your sweet blog. xoxo

I reckon life would be close to perfect if there's balance from Mother Nature. But we only get what we are given and we should be truly grateful.
