Autumn

The first day of autumn had been really hot, but what a relief to have the cooler change come in the afternoon. I know I will miss going to the beach and having a picnic by the bay side. And all the beautiful summer blooms. I guess it is time for me to get our winter crops and flowering bulbs ready for the next season.

To all my lovely friends who are on the opposite side of the globe, you must be anticipating the coming of spring.

Thank you for your kind visit and your thoughtful messages.  Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

  1. Lovely Zinnias and Sunflowers. Spring is starting here, but it´s still cold, I´m so looking forward to nice warm and sunny weather. Such fun to read overseas blogs, you get your bulbs ready for next season, here they´re almost blooming.
    Have a nice weekend,

  2. Hi Aida! You like the same Polish pottery that I do! Yes, we are looking forward to spring, but it's snowing now. Oh well.

  3. Dear Aida,
Your zinnias and sunflowers are wonderful and your beautiful pottery, too! I have seen this pottery here for sale, and have admired it so. Autumn is my favorite season with its soft light and beautiful colors, but here we are enjoying spring in Washington state. We have had a lovely, mild winter, unlike the rest of the country. Wishing you a lovely start to Autumn! Hugs xo Karen

  6. Aida Hello, I love your photos of flowers and porcelain. This porcelain in the last photo, whether it is Polish?
I read that in your autumn. But in our early spring, the garden has come off the flowers and today I have not seen fallen snow:-) The Internet makes people feel close to each other and the time of year, however, show that we are very far from each other:-)
    Fortunately, there is the internet:-)
    Yours very warm
    Beautiful autumn!

  7. Hi Aida,

What gorgeous bouquets, my friend, each one prettier than the next! They could easily be little paintings, so romantically radiant, are they. Enjoy your last days of summer; it looks like it was a perfect one!

    Take care, my friend!

  9. Thanks for your comment. What I meant to say was that roses with short stems are usually cheaper not necessarily better. Sorry, for the confusion.
    Have a lovely weekend!
