Me Time

Hello my dear friends, I would like to say thank for your beautiful messages on my Mother's Day post. I am touched by your kindness and encouragement. It helps me a lot to continue my journey in blogging. I am amazed that although we only communicate virtually I feel like we have known each other for a very long time. I love visiting all of you and have learned so much from every post that I read. You truly are an inspiration and I am grateful for your friendship.

Today I am sharing some photos of the place where I spent an afternoon of me time. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the beauty of season.

I was on a mission

To spend the afternoon

In a place to swoon, an indulgence on my own

With so many options; a facial or a massage

Or a pedicure, perhaps

Didn't take much deliberation for me to wholly get in the zone

Lying in the comfort of this soft and warm bed

I swear I fell asleep, as I was covered with sheets and a sweet scented candle

I woke up refreshed and ready to face,

The reflection in the mirror, hoping to see a slight change in my skin of over forty years

Heading towards the exit, I looked back and thought to myself, this seat will be waiting for my next visit.

Planted some annuals in an upcycled wheelbarrow - one of my drive-by roadside finds

This will be the first time that I will be planting these stocks

Planting these seed is an act of faith. Waiting, hoping, anticipating that tomorrow will bring a bounteous harvest of best tasting produce.

Nothing is more delightful than sitting down for a freshly brewed tea, after hours of working in the garden, would you care to join me?

Thank your dear friends for your kind visit and your beautiful messages.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

  1. Hello, I was waiting for your post :-)
It's great that you could benefit from cosmetic treatments. There is nothing like relaxing when others try to keep us nice :-)
I rarely experience it :-) Recently I have a lot of work in our garden. I like it but it is sometimes tiring. I drink a lot of iced tea :-)
    Greetings

  4. Dear Aida,
Your posts are always so cheerful and very special. I think it's so important to have "me time" every now and then. We all need to treat ourselves with goodness once in awhile. The flowers in your garden are so pretty, and I love that blue vase that the flowers are in. That sweet little girl statue is precious. I went to a Greek Festival today in my town and treated myself to many goodies. So, it looks like we were both kind to ourselves this weekend. This looks like a lovely place to spend an afternoon of "me time."

Have a peaceful Sunday, Aida. You deserve all the goodness that comes your way.

    love,
    ~Sheri

  5. What an unusual and relaxing place, I haven't seen anything like this in the UK - it's just what we are all waiting for!
I go to a hairdresser in her own home which is makes for quite a relaxing visit, but your beauty therapist has taken it to another level. We all deserve a little pampering and raising of the spirits. Betty

  7. A spa day - sounds lovely and you chose a beautiful setting.

I too just planted flowers in a roadside find wheelbarrow. My flowers are taking their time blooming.

Love those heart shaped spoons on the tea table.

  10. I have never been to a spa but it sounds wonderful. Your spot for tea looks so inviting. I find it so very charming. Flowers and china work so well together and create a lovely little respite after gardening. So happy you have shared with us Aida and joined me for tea. You know, Hubby has always wanted to go to Australia but you would never get me on a plane for that length of time. Hope you're having a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  12. Hi Aida,

As lovely and relaxing as your day at the spa may have been, (and I'm sure it was), personally, the spa-like luxury of your own tranquil and beautiful garden, filled with the sweet scent of pretty flowers and the exotic aroma of jasmine tea, where soaking up the sunlight to soothe achy bodies, and listening to birds' song to calm chaotic minds, would be the perfect escape for much needed, and well deserved, me time.

    Have a gorgeous weekend!
